The first half of 2026 gave us plenty of reasons to celebrate across TGT Global, as our teams in Sri Lanka, Manila, and Cebu came together for unforgettable mid-year events filled with culture, games, recognition, and camaraderie.
Sri Lanka: Celebrating the Sinhala & Tamil New Year
The festivities began at The BarnHouse on April 25, where our Sri Lankan team celebrated the Sinhala and Tamil New Year, one of the country’s most important cultural festivals.
Dressed in traditional attire, employees enjoyed authentic Sri Lankan food, participated in classic New Year games, and shared plenty of laughter throughout the day. From pillow fights and tug-of-war to musical chairs and sack races, the celebration was a wonderful blend of culture, fun, and togetherness.
One of the day’s most memorable highlights? Watching our COO, Peter Hammon, bravely join the pillow fight game, only to realize that title and position offer absolutely no protection when oversized pillows are involved. Let’s just say Peter took a few memorable hits, much to the delight of the cheering crowd!
Manila: GAME ON!
The competitive spirit came alive in Manila as employees gathered at Revel at the Palace (Day Shift) and Bar IX Molito (Night Shift) for our TGT GAME ON Mid-Year Party.
Divided into Blue Blitz and Green Machine, teams battled through trivia challenges, relay games, dance-offs, and singing competitions. The nights were packed with excitement and our employee recognition Titan and Anniversary awards. Of course, TGT Marquee events wouldn’t be complete without the staple best-dressed awards, raffle prizes, and plenty of memorable moments both on and off the stage.
One unexpected highlight came from our new Vice President of Channel and Strategic Partnerships, Cathy Tran, who fully embraced the Filipino spirit of the celebration by taking the karaoke stage, not once, but at both Manila events! Her performances quickly became crowd favorites and proved that at TGT, leaders don’t just cheer from the sidelines-they jump right into the fun.
Together, the Day Shift and Night Shift celebrations showcased what GAME ON was all about: teamwork, friendly competition, recognition, and creating unforgettable memories with colleagues.
Cebu: Beachside Fun at Palmbeach Resort
The celebrations wrapped up in Cebu on June 6 with a fun-filled afternoon by the beach.
Employees enjoyed team games, photobooth sessions, delicious food, raffle prizes, and lots of opportunities to relax and connect with colleagues. The combination of friendly competition and a resort setting created the perfect atmosphere to celebrate another successful year together.
A special shoutout goes to one of our Operational Managers, Billy, who fearlessly took on the Junk in the Trunk game. While victory may have slipped away, his enthusiastic twerking attempt certainly didn’t go unnoticed. Reports of post-event back pain remain unconfirmed, but witnesses agree his performance was worth every laugh! :D
One Team, One TGT
While every location celebrated in its own unique way, each event shared the same purpose: Bringing people together.
From cultural traditions in Sri Lanka to game-show excitement in Manila and beachside fun in Cebu, these celebrations reminded us that what makes TGT Global special is not just the work we do but the people we do it with.
