How Celebrating Employee Birthdays Strengthens TGT’s Culture

At TGT, celebrating employee birthdays reflects our culture of care. These small acts of recognition build belonging, boost morale, and strengthen our people-first culture.

In many offshoring companies, employee milestones often pass quietly, unnoticed in the rush of daily work. At TGT, we do things differently. We believe that every person behind our success deserves to feel valued not just for their performance, but for who they are.

That’s why our tradition of celebrating employee birthdays has become more than a simple office event. Over the years, this practice has grown into a defining part of who we are and how we lead in the offshoring space.

Demonstrating care as part of our culture

At TGT, care is not a one-time practice but a lasting part of who we are. For years, we’ve made sure that each employee feels valued not just for their work, but as individuals.

One of the ways we do this is through our consistent birthday celebrations, a small yet meaningful gesture that reminds everyone they belong.

Many companies in the offshoring space focus mainly on output and deadlines, often overlooking the people behind the success.

We believe that taking time to celebrate personal milestones helps to build stronger bonds and a workplace where everyone feels recognized and appreciated. These moments of care form the roots of our culture, one that sees people first.

Enhancing the employee experience through recognition

These celebrations create moments of joy and connection. For Jeffrey Yaon, Sales Officer, “During my recent birthday celebration at TGT, I truly felt valued and joyful. The team made the day memorable with their thoughtful gestures, and it was heartwarming to celebrate alongside colleagues in such a friendly and supportive atmosphere.”

For Enrique Gutierrez, Multimedia Artist, the consistency says it all. “For three years straight, TGT has never missed my birthday. The surprise decorations, thoughtful gifts, and unexpected birthday song always make me feel genuinely valued and celebrated by my team. These simple gestures speak volumes. They show how much TGT truly cares about its people, and that kind of culture makes a lasting impact.”

These stories show how small acts build great connections. When employees feel seen and valued, they become more engaged and inspired to give their best.

This shared sense of appreciation strengthens both teamwork and loyalty, two things that drive the heart of a strong offshoring culture.

Showcasing the efforts of a thoughtful experience team

Behind every celebration is thoughtful planning from our Employee Experience (EE) team. As Judith Temporada, EE Specialist, shared:

“We plan birthday celebrations in a simple yet meaningful way. We begin by consolidating the list of monthly celebrants and coordinating with team leads to align on the schedule and logistics. We also block support team calendar slots to allot 5 to 10 minutes for a short birthday greeting. During this time, we prepare a cake, birthday balloons, and a small birthday token as a simple gesture to let our employees know that we appreciate and value them.”

The team’s consistency in organizing these celebrations reflects TGT’s core belief. Every act of care, no matter how small, matters. Their efforts ensure that employees feel included, celebrated, and reminded that they are part of something meaningful.

Creating a foundation for stronger business outcomes

When people feel valued, they stay committed. Judith adds, “These celebrations help strengthen camaraderie across teams and promote a supportive workplace culture. When employees feel valued and emotionally connected to the organization, they are more engaged and more likely to stay.”

That emotional connection improves employee experience and business outcomes. A happy, motivated team brings higher productivity, better collaboration, and more consistent client results. This is how TGT’s culture of care becomes a business advantage.

Fostering a people-first culture that drives results

For Steph Hiceta, HR Officer, these celebrations show how TGT walks its talk. “Two birthdays with TGT, and they never missed the birthday greeting, even though it was expected and not a surprise. I feel appreciated, and with these small gestures, most especially our managers, make it extra special with a simple celebration every time she reports here at Aeon.”

At TGT, we understand that culture is not built on grand events alone, but through consistent acts of care that nurture trust, joy, and belonging. Our birthday tradition may seem simple, but its impact shapes how we work, connect, and succeed together.

Because when people feel valued, they deliver value. And that’s what sets TGT apart.
